Powerful overview to understand and analyse the performance of a Power bi report

The #Performance_Analyzer in #PowerBI_Desktop: helps us showing different timings for all visual elements rendered in our #powerbi reports, triggered by “Refresh visuals” button or other actions taken on the report (filter change, data point selection,…).

It returns for each element:

✔DAX query= time taken for query resolution

✔Visual display= time taken for visual render

✔“Other”= the visual timings, which depends on other objects in the reports

=>These measures are very important to understand and analyse the response times of our visuals and the performance of our report pages.

"Advanced Performance Analyzer by SmartPowerBI" solution, records those information to give us a clear overview and insights about the assessment and the quality of our reports, by displaying all performance affecting factors, specific recommendations and links to best practices and guidelines.

For example when we " refresh a page", we will have a look on:

-The duration taken for this action, / number of visuals, images, with recommendations (exp: nbr of slicers is extremely high/good/...)

-Number of #DAX queries executed/ the maximum of #DAX query execution,the maximum of rows retrieved===> very very useful 😍
