Semantic models defined using the ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐๐ซ ๐๐จ๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ ๐ (๐๐๐๐) are limited, complex, and only machine-readable, being in JSON format.
Unlike TMSL, TMDL has been designed to be human-friendly, enabling easy readability and editing in any text editor. This significant enhancement allows for better source control and collaborative development experiences.
๐Now, you can save your Power BI Project files (PBIP) using TMDL as the
Steps are described in the image bellow
โ
With TMDL, the semantic model is saved in the TMDL format stored in the '\๐๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง' ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐๐๐ซ, instead of the traditional ๐ฆ๐จ๐๐๐ฅ.๐๐ข๐ฆ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ (TMSL format)
๐This format greatly enhances reusability in Power BI project development, like reusing tabular objects such as tables, roles, or cultures across semantic models by simply copying and pasting files between PBIX folders
